Each week, I publish a list of best fitness articles from the previous week. These articles range from a wide variety of topics like nutrition, training, stress management, weight loss, general health, etc. Here is the list from the week of November 8 – November 14.

2. That Fit Person Who’s ‘Got It All Together’… Doesn’t: Courtesy of Krista Scott-Dixon on Precision Nutrition

This is my favorite article this week. We are constantly judging and comparing ourselves to other people. When it comes to fitness, we see all these people who are more fit and wonder why we can’t be like that. But the truth is, most fit people don’t have it all together. This article explores the concept with being ok with who you are, and the steps you can take to get fitter.

3. Tip: Know How Many Carbs You Need: Courtesy of Nate Miyaki on T Nation

This is a rather short article, but an important one. Carbohydrates are very important to keep in check whether your an athlete looking to improve performance or an overweight individual looking to drop some body fat. In the article, Nate presents you with guidelines to follow no matter what end of the scale you fall on.

4. Stop “Should-ing” All Over Yourself: Courtesy of Tony Gentilcore

Up until this week, should-ing was a word I had never heard before. It refers to how we often take beliefs or things we think we should be doing and turn them into rules. For instance, “I should get to the gym 4 times this week”. By doing this we obtain our self-worth from our ability to cross this rule off a checklist each week. But as Tony mentions, this is actually more of a hindrance than anything else.

5. How To Naturally Boost Testosterone Release With Exercise: Courtesy of Parker Hyde on Bodybuilding.com

Testosterone is one of the most important hormones when it comes to building muscle mass and shedding unwanted body fat. Lifting weights is one of the best ways to improve testosterone release.
